These two lovebirds met right here in Portland, Oregon thanks to James’ brother-in-law who officially introduced the couple. James was an architect and Susan was a librarian at the University of Oregon in Portland library. They very quickly bonded over their love for aesthetics and good design. When James earned the amazing opportunity to attend Harvard Graduate School of Design the couple decided it was time to move out to Boston, Massachusetts together. Susan’s previous experience at UO earned her the opportunity to start working as a research librarian at Harvard, and James & Susan have resided in Boston ever since.
When they got engaged they decided that though they had moved far away they wanted to get married in Oregon. So, on their *almost* five-year anniversary (they got married the day before) these two threw one beautiful party and were married at Vista Hills Vineyard in Oregon Wine Country. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of this stylish couple–tasteful, love-filled and elegant. Guests enjoyed wine and a delicious meal while soaking up the Dundee, Oregon countryside into the evening.
